Know your worth

We all have inherent worth as human beings, but sometimes it's easy to forget that. We can get caught up in comparison, in what we don't have, and in what others have that we want. It's easy to feel like we're not good enough, or that we don't measure up.

But it's important to remember that our worth is not based on what

we have or what others think of us. Our worth is based on our character and on who we are as people. When we know our worth, we can be confident and content in ourselves, regardless of our circumstances.

So how can we remember our worth? Here are a few things that have helped me:

  • Spend time with people who make you feel good about yourself.

  • Do things that make you feel good about yourself. Whether it's volunteering, taking on a new challenge, or doing something kind for someone else, taking care of yourself in this way will help you to remember your goodness.

  • Be mindful of your self-talk. Our inner dialogue can be very harsh, and it's easy to get caught up in negative thinking. Please make an effort to catch yourself when you're thinking negative thoughts and replace them with positive ones.

  • Make a list of your positive qualities. Write down everything you can think of that makes you a good person. When you're feeling down, refer to this list and remind yourself of all the good things about yourself.
